Snorkelling gear, bicycles, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can be hired from the Luggage Store Visitor Centre, which also serves as a museum. Ghost and haunted tours around the property are also on offer, with a candlelit night-time adventure exploring the darker history of the property running every Friday and Saturday night.

Harbor Transportation Access

Q Station is 16 km from Town Hall and 30 km from Kingsford Smith airport. A ferry service from the Q Station wharf to the city centre operates six times a day, and it's a 15-minute walk to Manly, famous for its beach, cafés and scenic cliff top walks.

Boilerhouse Delight

I had an amazing dining experience at the Boilerhouse restaurant. The food was absolutely excellent, with dishes designed for sharing that allowed us to enjoy a variety of flavors. The staff were incredibly friendly, which really added to the warm atmosphere. I appreciated the chance to relax on the veranda with a drink, soaking in the stunning views as we savored our meal.

Water Activities Heaven

The Quarantine Beach was the perfect spot for all kinds of water activities! I enjoyed swimming and snorkeling, as well as kayaking and paddle boarding. Comfortable and Scenic

My stay at Q Station was quite an interesting experience. The surroundings were absolutely gorgeous, making it a beautiful and tranquil retreat, but there were a few issues that took away from my overall enjoyment. The rooms were basic and lacked essential comforts like proper ventilation and air conditioning. On the dining front, the service could be improved, especially during busy times. While the historical significance of the location is impressive, I wish there had been better options for food availability and faster internet access.

My stay at the hotel was a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. The views of the Sydney Harbour were breathtaking, and the room was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the history of the Quarantine Station, and the complimentary shuttle service was a nice touch. However, the hotel felt a bit isolated, which made trips to Manly a bit time-consuming, especially without the former shuttle service into downtown.
